Personal Reflection:
Teacher providing a safe and nurturing learning environment for their students is paramount. I have shown proficiency in the classroom for this standard. One main teaching strategy I utilize is modeling in the classroom. By modeling a honesty and respect with my students they can see that it is positive behavior. When student feel safe physically, mentally, and emotionally, the are free to open their minds, explore, and grow as individuals.
Element a: Teachers foster a predictable learning environment characterized by acceptable student behavior and efficient use of time in which each student has a positive, nurturing relationship with caring adults and peers.
This artifact is a data analysis of my student work for their mandala painting project. It is important to analyze the work and behaviors of our students to gain understanding and build classroom climate and culture. The better this is the better the learning environment can be.
